Welcome to Texas

I hate to admit it, but I couldn't find my original blog to update our move to Texas. So I created a new one! I will begin with our 20 hour drive down. We made it about 16 hours before we had to pull off for a quick 3 hour nap at a hotel. A word of advice? Don't leave everything you own in a car that doesn't have tinted windows! We woke up in the morning to a shattered window. What was missing? Two breifcases full of temple clothes. We thought we got pretty lucky considering that we had our TV, laptops, passports, ihomes and everything else sitting in the car. The next week we went and bought new clothes... after which, we wished they would have taken the TV.

The rest of the drive was fairly uneventful. We made it to Texas and found our apartments. We have a great apartment with a big kitchen, huge walk-in closet, and big bathroom! I wish we could have an apartment like this in Utah. The best part of the apartment is our little baby birds out on our balcony. They are so cute.

Being in Texas has been quite the experience. It has been so nice to have a break from work! I wake up, go to the gym, watch some Cosby Show, hang out with Skyler, make him lunch, and wait for him to go to work. Once he is gone for the day, the wives meet down by the pool to organize the rest of our day. It is so nice and relaxing! I hope we do this every year.

But I do miss my friends and family! I can't wait to see everyone in a couple months!
